The Problem
Public spaces are difficult for those with autism because of social stigma, neurotypical standards, and lack of accommodations leaving them without a safe space that considers their individual sensory needs.
The Solution
We are a subscription based service of private sensory spaces in public areas, where autistic individuals indiscriminate of age can schedule a personalized experience with curated activities to accommodate to their sensory needs.
Components that make up Solace
A five part system of private sensory spaces where autistic individuals can schedule a personalized experience with curated activities to accommodate to their sensory needs.
A Personalized Approach to Sensory Rooms.
Solace is a subscription based service of private sensory spaces in public areas, where autistic individuals indiscriminate of age can schedule a personalized experience with curated activities to accommodate to their sensory needs.
Mobile Application
Onboarding
Users can input their sensory sensitivities so Solace can learn what type of equipment and room settings to recommend to the user.
Sensory Experiences
Users can save their equipment, room settings, and structure as sensory experiences that they can use when visiting Solace spaces.
Bookings
Users can see where Solace spaces are locally to book a sensory experience.
Check-In
Users are effectively guided to our spaces using wayfinding where they can use their phone or physical ID to be granted access into Solace.
Room Controls
Control the lighting, media, sound, and additional requests for equipment within the room to offer personalized sensory input.

Solace Projector
We created a dual projector that can display our interfaces both on the wall and floor that houses our built-in voice assistant. Our voice assistant Solace works in tandem with our projector to assist customers with controlling the lighting, media, sound, and equipment in their room.

Non-Verbal Accessibility
We created a downloadable AAC library with function and fringe words to allow non-verbal autistic individuals to navigate our space.
What is an AAC Library?
An AAC library is an open-access online collection featuring thousands of distinctive images, documents, and media.
Don't have an AAC device?
In each of our rooms you can find our non-verbal posters, or you can print them on our website!
